The best rafting, paragliding, flying and other adventures await you in the small town of Omiš, situated at the mouth of the Cetina River just 40 minutes away from Makarska. Numerous agencies in town offer a wide range of adventure activities or more relaxing excursions to the close-by Radman mill’s picnic area. If climbing a mountain is too extreme for you, a less demanding but extremely pleasurable activity would be a hike to the Fortica Fortress, where you will get some unforgettable views. A 20-minute ride down a winding road will lead you to the Omiš hinterland and the village of Gata, the site of the Museum of Poljica. Another 20-minute ride through Dubci to Šestanovac will lead you to the waterfalls, Velika gubavica and Mala gubavica, on the Cetina River, where you can see adventurers rock climbing or organising rafting races.
