Pepsi i Makarska prepoznali su se 1967. godine. <\/strong>Sinergija brenda i grada potrajala je dugo, do po\u010detka novog stolje\u0107a. Na ovaj na\u010din, memorija grada pod Biokovom biva trajno sa\u010duvana i u slatkim mjehuri\u0107ima svjetskog branda. Dru\u0161tvene mijene \u010diji su svjedoci bili i Pepsi i Makarska odredile su njihovu budu\u0107nost. Danas se Pepsi puni drugdje, tvornice vi\u0161e nema, a Makarska brodi sve nemirnijim bespu\u0107ima svjetske turisti\u010dke pu\u010dine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No, uspomene su ostale! Materijalnih je sve manje, dok su sje\u0107anja upisana u kolektivnu memoriju grada i brojnih makarskih obitelji itekako \u017eiva i prisutna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emocija doma\u0107ina i odu\u0161evljenje turista \u010dini izlo\u017ebu Pepsi \/ Amfora <\/strong>doga\u0111anjem \u010dija \u0107e vrijednost vremenom samo rasti slave\u0107i sretnu vezu svjetskog brenda i jedinstvene lokalne zajednice poput Makarske.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vjerujemo kako je upravo turizam prhttps:\/\/makarska-info.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Handmade-Kid-Shop-Costumes-archive-1.jpgio realizaciji Pepsi-stvarnosti u Makarskoj. Tih \u0161ezdesetih godina 20. stolje\u0107a<\/strong> mali gradi\u0107 pod planinom nalazio se na jo\u0161 jednoj povijesnoj prekretnici. Oporavak od kataklizme potresa 1962. godine, novoizgra\u0111ena Jadranska turisti\u010dka cesta \/ Magistrala i nadasve senzacionalan krajolik u\u010dinili su Makarsku rastu\u0107im turisti\u010dkim sredi\u0161tem. Kao da je samo nedostajao – Pepsi!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naravno, turizam u Makarskoj po\u010dinje puno ranije, a u kontekstu ove izlo\u017ebe vrijedi istaknuti kako su se kroz stolje\u0107e turisti\u010dkog razvoja Makarske bezalkoholna osvje\u017eavaju\u0107a pi\u0107a u ograni\u010denim koli\u010dinima oduvijek nudila gostima i doma\u0107ima. Tako su se generacije Makarana rado prisje\u0107ale –  \u0161abeza i pa\u0161arete kod Martinisa, klingl-klangla s Gorinke, sode jednog od pionira makarskog turizma Pjerina Gojaka, <\/strong>kao i  osvje\u017eaju\u0107ih napitaka koje je njegov sin, Marin Rine Gojak<\/strong>, ujedno i brat velikog makarskog  slikara Antuna Gojaka<\/strong>,  te najve\u0107i donator makarske kulture,  punio u srcu Makarske kasnih \u010detrdesetih godina 20. stolje\u0107a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sve ve\u0107a potra\u017enja navela je i makarsku Uljaru da u svom malom poduze\u0107u po\u010detkom \u0161ezdesetih godina napuni prve zna\u010dajnije koli\u010dine bezalkoholnih pi\u0107a u vlastitom pogonu na obodu mitske makarske Osejave. Upravo je ovdje, 1967. godine i zapo\u010dela proizvodnja Pepsija u Makarskoj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sama izlo\u017eba koncipirana je sa \u017eeljom da uka\u017ee na odnos Pepsija i Makarske. Ve\u0107 je prvo doga\u0111anje, otvaranje prvog namjenskog pogona 1967. godine <\/strong>imalo veliko zna\u010denje u gospodarskom razvoju grada. Vjerujemo kako eminentnija gospodarska delegacija nikad ranije nije i ne\u0107e posjetiti Makarsku!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gospodarski zamah koji je uslijedio mijenjao je na\u010din \u017eivota stanovnika Makarske i sam grad. Potrebno je sve vi\u0161e radne snage, u Makarsku se intenzivno naseljava,  dok se istovremeno grad \u0161iri – ne samo kroz turisti\u010dke kapacitete, nego i uz brojne proizvodne pogone. Proizvodnja Pepsija bila je me\u0111u prihodovnijima u Makarskoj, a tr\u017ei\u0161te koje je pokrivala bilo je za ono vrijeme enormno – upravo toliko da je bilo godina kada je do Pepsija bilo zaista te\u0161ko do\u0107i! Osim razvoja tvornice, nastojali smo prikazati i svakodnevicu te njene mijene, a posebno radnike i njihovo radno okru\u017eenje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dio izlo\u017ebe naslovljen \u2018Pepsi oko nas\u2019<\/strong> svojim postavom vra\u0107a nas u vrijeme kada je, kako se \u010dita na promotivnom materijalu, Makarska bila – grad Pepsi Cole!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U ovom je kontekstu zasebno istaknuta uloga Pepsi \/ Amfore u sportskom, kulturnom i zabavnom \u017eivotu grada. Sport, posebno KK Amfora, ekspedicija makarskih planinara na Ararat, prvenstvo Hrvatske u jedrenju 1990. godine, izlo\u017eba Ka\u010di\u0107ev trg kroz povijest, pokroviteljstvo nad nezaboravnim makarskim Porinom, obnova kulturne ba\u0161tine, sudjelovanje u ure\u0111enju Marinete i uspostavi prve slu\u017ebe hemodijalize u Makarskoj –  a prije svega velika materijalna pomo\u0107 Hrvatskoj vojsci u danima Domovinskog rata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cijela ova izlo\u017eba mali je doprinos prepoznavanju zna\u010denja i uloge tvornice kojoj kraj njena postojanja 2000. godine nije oduzeo niti umanjio vrijednost i zasluge za sveukupni razvoj grada pod Biokovom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pepsi and Makarska met all the way back in 1967. <\/strong>The synergy of the brand and town lasted for a long time, up until the beginning of the new millennium. In this way, the memory of the town beneath Biokovo is permanently preserved in the sweet bubbles of the world brand. Social changes witnessed by both Pepsi and Makarska have determined their future. Today, Pepsi is bottled elsewhere, the factory is no more, and Makarska navigates the increasingly turbulent waters of the world tourist scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the memories remain! While material traces are fewer, the memories inscribed in the collective memory of the town and the numerous families of Makarska are very much alive and present. The emotions of the hosts and the enthusiasm of the tourists make the Pepsi\/Amfora exhibition an event whose value will only grow over time, celebrating the happy relationship between a global brand and a unique local community like that of Makarska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We believe that tourism itself contributed to the realization of the Pepsi-Makarska relationship.<\/strong> In the 1960s the little town beneath the mountain found itself at yet another historical crossroad. Recovery from the cataclysmic earthquake of 1962, the newly built Adriatic highway, and above all, the sensational landscape made Makarska a growing tourist center. It was as if only one thing was missing – Pepsi!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, tourism in Makarska began much earlier, and in the context of this exhibition, it is worth noting that throughout the century of Makarska’s tourism development, non-alcoholic refreshing drinks have, in limited quantities, always been offered to guests and locals. Thus, generations of people from Makarska fondly remember – \u0161abezo and pa\u0161areta at Martinis, klingl-klangl from Gorinka, soda from one of the pioneers of Makarska tourism Pjerin Gojak<\/strong>, as well as refreshing drinks that his son, Marin Rine Gojak<\/strong>, also the brother of the great Makarska painter Antun Gojak and the largest donor to Makarska culture, bottled in the heart of Makarska in the late 1940s. Increasing demand led the Makarska Oil Mill to bottle the first significant quantities of non-alcoholic beverages in its small plant on the edge of the mythical Makarska Osejava in the early sixties. It was here, in 1967, that the production of Pepsi in Makarska began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition itself is designed to highlight the relationship between Pepsi and Makarska. <\/strong>The first event, the opening of the first dedicated plant in 1967, had great significance in the economic development of the town. We believe that a more prominent economic delegation had never before, nor will ever again, visit Makarska!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The economic boom that followed changed the way of life of Makarska’s inhabitants and the city itself. More and more labor was needed, which lead to a significant influx of people moving to Makarska. The city expanded – not only through tourist capacities but also with numerous production plants. Pepsi production was among the most profitable in Makarska, and the market it covered was enormous for its time – so much so that there were years when Pepsi was really hard to come by! Besides the development of the factory, we tried to portray everyday life and its changes, especially the workers and their working environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A part of the exhibition titled ‘Pepsi around us’ <\/strong>takes us back to a time when, as the promotional material reads, Makarska was – the city of Pepsi Cola! In this regard, the role of Pepsi\/Amfora in the sports, cultural, and entertainment life of the town is highlighted. Sports, especially KK Amfora, the expedition of Makarska mountaineers to Ararat, the Croatian sailing championship in 1990, the exhibition Ka\u010di\u0107 square through history, the sponsorship of the unforgettable Makarska Porin, the restoration of cultural heritage, the participation in the arrangement of Marineta and the establishment of the first hemodialysis service in Makarska – and above all, substantial aid to the Croatian army during the days of the Homeland War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This entire exhibition is a small contribution to recognizing the significance and role of the factory, whose closure in the year 2000 did not diminish its value or contributions to the overall development of the little town beneath Biokovo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
