Dan Hrvatske ratne mornarice obilježava se 18. rujna, u spomen na dan kad su neretvanski mornari na čelu s knezom Branimirom davne 887. godine u bitci kod Makarske porazili mletačko brodovlje.
🔵 I ove će se godine na gradskoj rivi veliki broj posjetitelja okupiti na uprizorenju bitke koja će se održati 18.09. od 19:30 h, a program će upotpuniti i koncert Giuliana & diktatora.
Croatian Navy Day is celebrated on September 18, in memory of the day as far as back as 887 when the Neretva sailors, led by Prince Branimir, defeated the Venetian fleet at the Battle near Makarska, during which, according to tradition, the Venetian doge, Petar Candiano, lost his life.
🔵 The staging of this historic naval battle of Mucules in which groups from all over Dalmatia took part is held in the waters of the town of Makarska.
