Grotta on St. Peter in Makarska will become the stage for an adrenaline-filled sporting spectacle this weekend. On September 12 and 13, the Grotta Diving Association is organizing the THROW Event, an adrenaline-fueled sporting event that brings together competitors and fans of cliff jumping – jumping into the water from natural rocks and cliffs.
THROW Event brings together sport, adrenaline and a great atmosphere, with the aim of not only holding a competition, but also bringing the sporting community together and introducing the public to one of the increasingly popular adrenaline sports.
As Lovre Grljušić, president of the Grotta Diving Association and the event organizer, explained, the event is organized by a non-profit association, with the entire organization and implementation of the project based on cooperation between the City of Makarska, the Makarska Tourist Board and the Grotta Association.

On Saturday, September 12, the freestyle discipline will take place, with competitors performing various flips and rotations before finishing with a feet-first entry into the water. On Sunday, September 13, the program continues with Døds, a Norwegian diving discipline that may look extreme at first glance, but is considered safe when performed according to the rules and with proper technique.
The THROW Event starts at 3 p.m. on both days at Grotta on St. Peter in Makarska. Visitors can look forward to spectacular jumps, plenty of adrenaline and an atmosphere that will transform this unique natural setting into a true sporting stage for two days.
Don’t miss the chance to watch the spectacular jumps live and experience the atmosphere of the THROW Event in the unique setting of Grotta cave on St. Peter in Makarska.
