The year in which Makarska celebrates 120 years of organised tourism brings a new interpretive experience. Feed Your Soul is a storytelling gastronomy tour created by Agata Ravlić to mark this important anniversary, offering visitors the opportunity to discover Makarska through stories, aromas, flavours and selected Croatian products.
The tour is not designed as a restaurant tour, but as a guided storytelling walk dedicated to gastronomy and the city’s tourism heritage. Through engaging stories, participants will discover the people, customs and events that have shaped Makarska as a tourist destination, while selected parts of the story will be accompanied by tastings of carefully chosen local products.
For the fifth consecutive year, Agata Ravlić has been leading the Maestrale storytelling tours, one of the destination’s most recognisable interpretive programmes. Feed Your Soul represents a new creative step within the DETOUR segment of the Maestrale programme – a cultural refreshment of Makarska.
The project is further enriched by the fact that Central Dalmatia, the region to which Makarska belongs, holds the international title of European Region of Gastronomy 2027, while the project is also supported by Split-Dalmatia County. The new tour follows this direction by bringing together gastronomy, local heritage and an authentic destination experience.
The first four tours this year will take place on 2, 9, 16 and 30 September at 7 PM, starting in front of Hotel Osejava.
The tour is intended for visitors to Makarska, is conducted exclusively in English, and is free of charge. Places are limited, so prior registration is required.
