The beaches of Makarska are among the most beautiful on the Croatian coast, renowned for their crystal-clear sea, fine pebbles, and natural pine shade. The most famous beach in Makarska is the central city beach, stretching along the entire inhabited area of the western part of the city, from the city harbor to the last hotel complexes. This long pebble beach is perfect for families with children and offers a variety of amenities. For those who prefer a more tranquil setting, there are smaller beaches and coves, such as Nugal Beach, located south of Makarska. Surrounded by high cliffs and dense pine forests, it can only be reached on foot or by boat.
