A weekend full of events in Makarska

During the upcoming long weekend, from May 30 to June 1, Makarska will host a variety of events that bring together lovers of music, dance, retro cars, and creative flea markets. The program includes activities for all age groups, featuring a concert by Jasna Zlokić, a performance by a school choir from Sweden, an international dance tournament, the legendary Fićo car gathering, and a two-day ShareBox flea market organized by the Lanterna counseling center.

Friday, May 30

Concert by Jasna Zlokić – 9:00 PM, Kačić Square

A true icon of the Dalmatian music scene, Jasna Zlokić comes to Makarska to celebrate Statehood Day. Visitors will enjoy performances of her greatest hits and a communal celebration with music that bridges generations.

Saturday, May 31

Kristianstads Musikklasser – Choir from Sweden – 11:00 AM, 156th Brigade Square

9th-grade students from a prestigious Swedish music program will perform choral renditions of well-known global hits.


International Fićo Car Gathering – from 9:00 AM, Makarska Promenade

Classic car enthusiasts will enjoy an exhibition of the legendary “Fićo” cars displayed along the promenade until noon. The convoy will then head to Baška Voda and return to Makarska in the evening, where a meet-up with the vehicle owners will take place at the PŠRD Arbun location.

International Dance Tournament – Dance Club Briljantin – from 9:00 AM, Apfel Arena

20 dance clubs from across Croatia will compete in standard and Latin American dances. Entrance fee: €10, available at the venue.

ShareBox Flea Market – 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Malacological Museum / Franciscan Monastery

Organized by the Lanterna counseling center, the ShareBox flea market offers second-hand clothes and items.
