Maškare u Makarskoj tradicionalno donose veselje, kreativnost i razigranu atmosferu u zimske dane. Pokladni program okuplja sve generacije te kroz povorke i maskirana događanja njeguje dugogodišnju karnevalsku tradiciju grada. Tijekom maškaranog razdoblja Makarska postaje pozornica smijeha, glazbe i šarenih maski, a brojni sugrađani i posjetitelji aktivno sudjeluju u programu.
CARNIVAL KEY HANDOVER, 23.1.2026, 10:00 AM
With the symbolic handover of the city keys, the carnival season begins. The Carnival group then takes over the city’s administration, officially opening the time of carnival festivities.
KIDS CARNIVAL, 13.2.2026, 11:00 AM
Kids’ Carnival is one of the most joyful parts of the programme. The parades feature primary school pupils and kindergarten children, filling the city with imaginative costumes, music, and dance. The school parade starts at 11:00, followed by a performance by the clown Šarenko, while the kindergarten parade starts at 14:00, and after the parade there will be a performance by T Rex.

The Carnival parade is the highlight of the programme. The procession features numerous costume groups from Makarska and the surrounding area, bringing elaborate costumes, music, and a true carnival atmosphere.
