In summer, the Makarska promenade turns into a lively meeting point filled with music, entertainment, and social events during traditional fishermen’s nights.
Visitors can enjoy a varied program with live music, games and competitions, activities for children and sports, along with plenty of entertainment for all ages.
REGULACIJA PROMETA
🔵 On the city waterfront (Riva), parking will be prohibited from 10:00 on the section from the intersection near the ferry terminal to Hotel Porin. Vehicle traffic will be redirected via Stjepan Radić Street and onwards towards the bus station.
🔴 We kindly ask all owners of motor vehicles and motorcycles to remove their vehicles from the city promenade no later than 9:00 AM, as the area must be cleaned and prepared for the event. Traffic will be allowed until 2:00 PM, but parking is strictly prohibited.
Alternative parking is provided:
– in front of Hotel Osejava
– at the new parking lot next to the Franciscan Monastery in the town center
– as well as at other city parking lots.
🔵 Employees of the Police Station and the municipal inspectors will monitor the traffic regulation throughout the entire day. The promenade is scheduled to reopen to vehicle traffic at 1:00 AM after midnight.
An evening full of music, competitions, and fun for all ages awaits you, along with great prizes and a true summer atmosphere! The program includes a performance and promenade by the Makarska City Band along the waterfront, a concert, a children’s competition called “Alka in a wheelbarrow,” a tug-of-war contest, and the selection of the best dance couple. Valuable and generous prizes are provided for all competition participants.
